Presenting complaints

Things we hear in a first consultation

  • “Nobody can remember who owns the Google admin account.”
  • “New joiners take a week to set up, and the instructions live in Dave's head.”
  • “The boardroom WiFi drops out, but only during investor calls.”
  • “We pay for fourteen tools and use six.”
  • “Someone left last month and we're still not sure what they could log into.”

Common patterns in growing teams. All fixable, usually faster than you might think.

The practice

IT support that listens first and prescribes second

Most IT problems aren't really about technology. They're about a company that grew faster than its systems, tools bought in a hurry, and decisions nobody was hired to make. That's the condition we treat.

Tech Therapy works with founders, operations leads and office managers who have been holding IT together on top of their actual jobs. We can provide day-to-day business IT support, take responsibility as your outsourced IT function, provide part-time fractional IT leadership, or build a focused IT strategy and roadmap.

No jargon, no scare tactics, and clear scope, costs and exit terms. Just calm, competent care for the machines and the people who use them.

  • Plain EnglishYou'll always know what's wrong, what we recommend, and what it costs. Explained like a good GP would.
  • Prevention over cureThe best support ticket is the one nobody needs to raise. We plan capacity, standards and spend before growth turns them into emergencies.
  • Small by designYou talk to the people doing the work. No account managers, no call centre, no ticket purgatory.
  • A better employee experiencePeople start smoothly, find what they need and get useful help without fighting the technology around them.

Best whenYou need a reliable support route while a founder, operations lead or internal colleague still owns the wider IT decisions.

Custom software

When off-the-shelf tools do not fit

Some operational problems are spreadsheets and manual handoffs that have quietly become business-critical. We design and build focused internal software that makes the work faster, clearer and easier to control.

Discuss a custom tool
  1. Internal apps

Purpose-built tools for approvals, onboarding, inventory, client delivery and other workflows that have outgrown shared sheets and inboxes.

  2. Reporting dashboards

One useful view of operational, service, finance or leadership data across systems, with clear definitions and appropriate access.

  3. Automation & integrations

Connect the tools you already use, remove duplicate data entry and keep human review where judgement still matters.

Course of treatment

How an engagement works

Fit call

A free half-hour conversation about the problem, the business context and whether we are the right people to help.

Scoped diagnosis

If an assessment is useful, we agree its scope and fixed price before reviewing devices, subscriptions, access, suppliers and risk.

Delivery

You receive a prioritised plan, then choose whether we implement it, coordinate other suppliers or hand it over cleanly.

Ongoing care

Where the brief is ongoing, support, monitoring and regular reviews continue under a clearly agreed monthly scope.

Frequently asked

Before you ask

Do you only look after Apple devices?

Apple is a specialism, not a limit. Our Apple and Mac IT support covers users, devices and the surrounding setup, but we manage Windows and mixed fleets too, and work in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 in equal measure.

We're a small team. Is this overkill?

Five people with laptops and a shared drive is exactly the right moment to get IT right. A few hours of setup now saves a very bad week later, and everything is sized to the team you are, not the one you might become.

Which IT service do we need?

Choose business IT support for end-user help and routine administration; outsourced IT to hand over the complete function; fractional IT leadership when work is happening but nobody senior owns it; or an IT strategy roadmap for a fixed-scope plan your team can deliver.

Can you take over from our current setup or provider?

Yes. We map accounts, devices, suppliers, documentation and responsibilities before changing anything important, then transfer ownership without interrupting everyday support.

How do you charge?

Projects use an agreed fixed price; ongoing IT support uses a clear monthly scope. Price depends on team size, environment, coverage and responsibility. Scope, cost and the way changes are approved are agreed before work starts.

Where do you provide IT support?

Day-to-day support is available remotely across the UK. On-site work is arranged when the location and brief call for it, with London as the main on-site service area.
